Stefan and Ava discussed using Harris as a source of inside information, but Ava seemed hesitant. After Eva rejected Stefan’s suggestion to reconsider her relationship with Harris, she welcomed Harris with a grin.
Harris asked if he was interrupting something, and Stefan dismissed it as exhausting business. Before leaving, Stefan mentioned they had everything figured out.
Once Stefan left, Harris inquired about Ava’s business and then revealed his night with Jada and Stephanie, including a kiss that he said meant nothing.
Ava, clearly upset, asked why Harris had told her, to which he responded that while they never defined their relationship as exclusive, he wanted to be honest.
Harris apologized, acknowledging he didn’t deserve her forgiveness, but hoped she could accept his apology.
Ava, protecting her mental health, told Harris she couldn’t risk getting hurt again and that his kiss with Stephanie was a deal-breaker. Harris tried to explain, but Ava firmly ended the relationship, asking him to leave. Harris left, leaving Ava in tears.
Meanwhile, Chad encountered Stefan drinking at a bar and sensed something was wrong. Stefan, sarcastic and defensive, brushed off Chad’s questions, especially about Gabby’s injury.
Chad, frustrated by Stefan’s refusal to explain, threw Stefan’s drink to the floor and demanded answers, particularly regarding Clyde Weston, who had killed Chad’s wife. Stefan remained tight-lipped, leaving Chad to fume.
Stefan later returned to Ava, who was grieving the decision to end her relationship with Harris.
She confided in Stefan that, despite how much it hurt, it was the right thing to do to protect her well-being and ensure their side business wasn’t revealed.
At the same time, Chad found himself at the Horton family plaque in Town Square, reminiscing about Abby. As he reflected on their love and her death, Chad vowed to make Clyde Weston pay for taking her away from him and their children.
Elsewhere, Paulina received an unexpected visit from Abe at her loft. Despite being caught off-guard, Paulina welcomed him warmly, and the two shared a tender moment.
Abe brought Paulina homemade treats, and they discussed her struggle to write the mayor’s Christmas speech.
Abe encouraged Paulina, reminding her of her strength and compassion, and helped her write the speech, which Paulina delivered beautifully.
The heartfelt message brought peace and joy to both, with Abe affirming that it was perfect. They embraced, wishing each other happy holidays.
