Caryn Chandler’s Ex-Husband: Shocking Details You Need to Know
Caryn Chandler, now engaged to “Little People, Big World” star Matt Roloff, had a long life before entering the LPBW world.
She was married to Joseph Chandler for nearly 20 years before their divorce in 2012. What viewers may not know is that Joseph has a significant criminal history.
According to Radar Online, Joseph’s record includes arrests for driving under the influence (DUI) and assault.
His latest arrest was on January 31, 2018, for DUI, leading to 45 days in jail, a year-long driver’s license suspension, and two years probation. He was also ordered to attend a Victim Impact Panel and pay $1,855 in fees.
Prior to this, Joseph was arrested in 2013 for driving with a suspended license and spent three years under supervision by Washington County Community Corrections in Oregon.
His license had been suspended after a 2009 DUI incident where he caused injuries to multiple people.
He was charged with eight counts, including assault and a felony charge of failing to perform driver duties in an injury-related incident.
Caryn and Joseph share two children, Brittany and Connor. In 2021, Caryn became a grandmother when Connor and his girlfriend Ashley welcomed their son, Liam.
Caryn started dating Matt Roloff in 2015, shortly after Matt’s divorce from his ex-wife, Amy Roloff, following 27 years of marriage.
The couple finalized their divorce in 2016. Caryn once worked as a manager at Roloff Farms, particularly during the busy pumpkin season.
Over the years, fans have speculated that Matt and Caryn had an affair while Matt was still married to Amy.
In her memoir A Little Me, Amy suggested that Matt and Caryn exchanged messages and photos that went beyond a business relationship.
During a Facebook Live video, Amy also claimed there was “more than just friendship” between them.
Caryn has faced criticism, being labeled a “gold digger” by some viewers.
She addressed these rumors on LPBW, telling Matt’s daughter-in-law, Tori Roloff, that the saddest part of her relationship with Matt is the assumption that she’s with him for financial gain rather than love.
