Though Taylor provides psychological treatment to others, she is the one who truly needs medical care. However, her resilience may be running thin; rumors indicate she recently fainted at work.

Taylor’s heart failure is no longer manageable, and although resting could have prolonged her life, she chose to keep working as usual to avoid raising suspicion. This decision, however, may have pushed her beyond her limits.

Coincidentally, Deacon, a former patient, was present when Taylor fainted. He had been visiting Taylor for guidance after the loss of Tom and Hollis.

Just as Deacon arrived, he witnessed Taylor collapsing. He rushed her to the hospital, but tragically, it was too late—Taylor passed away, leaving everyone in shock.

After her death, it was revealed that she had been battling heart failure for some time without taking the necessary rest, which ultimately led to her passing so suddenly.

As Taylor’s funeral approaches, Steffy learns for the first time that her mother had been hiding her illness for so long.

Ridge had known about Taylor’s condition but kept it from Steffy, leading to a painful confrontation between father and daughter.

Steffy is hurt and confused by Ridge’s decision to keep her in the dark, unable to understand why he would conceal something so serious.

She wonders if Ridge ever considered her feelings, as she feels robbed of time she could have spent with her mother. Heartbroken and filled with regret, Steffy decides she can’t bear to see Ridge for the time being.
