Little People Big World fans have been left worried about the future of the show after Amy Roloff announced her new teaching job on Friday.

Amy, 61, revealed her new gig during an Instagram live session. The LPBW star explained why she had been absent on social media:

“I know it’s been a while since I’ve been on live,” the TLC star said to the camera. “I apologize for that. But when you go back to a different kind of job—obviously, I was doing the show for a long, long, long time—I still leave with hope in my heart, and I want to give that kind of hope to each and every one of my students that I encounter,” she continued.

Amy shared that while she was getting back into the swing of teaching, it wasn’t an easy transition.

“The first day, the kids were unsure because I hadn’t been there, which is understandable. The second day got better. The third day got a little better,” Amy said. “I’m looking forward to next week because I get to teach a first-grade class. I’m excited about it.”

In the comments section, fans speculated that Amy’s teaching job might mean the show is nearing its end:

“I hope your show comes back for another season. Good that you’re back teaching, though,” one fan wrote.

Another added, “I think it’s time for the show to end and just keep moving on with your wonderful job.”

“I’m sure your students will fall in love with you,” a third person commented. “Are you done with the show now?”

Amy’s career move follows the announcement from her son Zach, 33, and his wife Tori, 32, that they will not be returning for Little People Big World Season 26.

On their podcast Raising Heights, Tori shared:

“Let’s just talk about the elephant in the room: are we coming back to Little People Big World? We are not. We made that pretty clear the last cycle.

Zach added:

“That chapter has closed. That part of our lives is over.”

Amy Reflects on Matt Roloff’s New Dreamhouse

In a recent interview with US Weekly, Amy opened up about watching her ex-husband, Matt Roloff, build his dreamhouse on the property they once owned together.

“It doesn’t surprise me because we talked about it over time when we were going to remodel the farmhouse,” Amy said. “The shape of his new home is exactly what we talked about 30 years ago or something, so it doesn’t surprise me.”

Amy sold her portion of Roloff Farms to Matt following their 2016 divorce. While it’s “strange” for her to visit the property, Amy explained that she’s learned to separate the past from the present.

“That was a different chapter. Don’t intermix what’s happening now with what was, because then I’ll lose what was really good about living there and raising a family,” she said.

Tensions Between Matt and Zach Roloff Continue

The strained relationship between Matt Roloff and his son Zach has been a central storyline in LPBW Season 25. Disagreements over Roloff Farms, which escalated after Matt put part of the property up for sale instead of passing it down to his children, remain a source of tension.

During the season finale, Zach reflected on the challenges of their relationship:

“There’s not much of a relationship. Just doing our own thing,” he said.

While Zach expressed hope for healing in the future, he acknowledged it would take time:

“Everything will be healed—it just will be different.”

As Zach and Tori prepare to leave the show, fans are left wondering how future seasons will address these ongoing family dynamics.
