Sister Wives: Kody Brown & Janelle Clash Over Coyote Pass Property Dispute!

Sister Wives Star Cody Brown Opens Up About Coyote Pass Dispute

Cody Brown, star of Sister Wives, has admitted to considering underhanded tactics against his ex-wife Janelle amid their ongoing dispute over the Coyote Pass property.

However, he claims his current wife, Robyn, stopped him from acting on those thoughts.

This week on Sister Wives, viewers witness Cody Brown hitting a new low while discussing the family’s dispute over the Coyote Pass property.

In an exclusive clip shared by US Weekly, Cody addresses Janelle Brown’s concerns about dividing the property and settling the remaining debt.

Cody acknowledges Janelle’s lack of trust in him, saying:
“She doesn’t trust me because she would screw me if she could. That’s what I believe. I’ll be honest—I’ve thought about screwing her. Okay, so I’m being honest. But I won’t. My wife with a conscience won’t let me.”

As fans know, the 14-acre Flagstaff, Arizona, property was purchased by Cody and his then-four wives—Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn—in 2018 for over $800,000.

The original plan was to split the land into five parcels, where each wife would have her own plot and Cody would also have one.

However, construction never began. Ownership of the property has also shifted over the years. When Christine left Cody in 2021, she gave up her share of the property to Cody and Robyn in exchange for the value of her Flagstaff home, which allowed her to relocate to Utah.

This left Cody and Robyn with eight shares, Janelle with four, and Meri with just two. Meri voiced her frustrations last season, arguing that her financial contributions were not reflected in the division of the property. Cody, however, attributed the division to “things that have gone on in the family.”

Janelle has consistently questioned the property’s division. In the current season, she reminded Cody and Meri that if the family fails to pay off the remaining debt, they could lose Coyote Pass altogether.

In a clip from this week’s episode, Janelle explains her motivation for addressing Meri directly:

“Even though Meri and I really don’t have a real relationship, my conscience dictated that I went and spoke with her about the property. It wasn’t to create drama—it was to ensure she was informed.”

In the upcoming episode, Meri sits down with Cody and Robyn to discuss the property’s division. She shares her frustrations with viewers, noting that she legally owns just one-third of one of the four parcels:

“I don’t understand why the property got divided the way it did. I wasn’t involved in that process—I was just told about it after the fact.”

Robyn defends the arrangement, claiming it was a temporary measure until the property was paid off. She adds that Cody made the decision quickly, saying, “He was just like, ‘I just had to make a decision really quickly.’”

Meri also points out that Cody’s name is on every parcel, while Robyn’s is on two, effectively giving the legally married couple control.

Despite the contentious situation, Meri remains hopeful:
“I hope they will be fair and honest. I hope it doesn’t get ugly.”

As previously reported by The Ashley, Cody and Robyn recently sold their Flagstaff mansion for nearly $1.8 million—significantly more than the $890,000 they paid in 2018.

Shortly before the sale, the couple purchased a much larger home in Flagstaff for $2.1 million.
