Bill was unhappy when Liam confronted him about his recent absence from work. Bill explained that he had his own reasons and needed to spend more time focusing on himself.

He expressed a desire to stay home more often, much to Liam’s concern. Liam worried about Bill’s health and feared he might grow lonely at home, but Bill dismissed his concerns.

However, Bill’s annoyance grew as Liam persistently questioned him about his business. Bill’s frustration was compounded by his fear that Liam might uncover something unusual.

He became particularly agitated when Liam’s probing veered too close to the truth.

Luna’s Eavesdropping Mishap

Unbeknownst to them, Luna was nearby, eavesdropping on their conversation. Luna had a habit of secretly observing or listening whenever Bill talked to someone. This time, however, she accidentally made a noise.

Startled, Liam noticed the sound and immediately got up to investigate. He discovered Luna hiding at Bill’s mansion. Liam was shocked—Luna should have been in prison. Did this mean Bill had helped her?

Liam’s Confrontation

Liam confronted Bill, furious and demanding answers. He reminded Bill that he had warned him about Luna before, emphasizing how dangerous she was.

Liam believed Luna should remain in prison to atone for her past mistakes. He accused Bill of making a grave error by getting involved with her again.

Bill tried to explain, but Liam wouldn’t listen. Tensions escalated as Liam threatened to expose Luna’s presence to everyone.

The Fatal Altercation

As the argument intensified, Luna panicked. In an attempt to stop the fight, she swung a stick at Liam’s head. The blow knocked him out on the spot. Bill was horrified to realize that Liam was dead.

Bill’s anger and panic boiled over as he turned on Luna.
“How could you do this?!” he yelled. “He was my son!”

Luna, shaken and tearful, tried to justify her actions.
“I didn’t mean to… I just wanted to stop the argument,” she stammered.

Bill was torn between his rage and his need to protect Luna. He knew that if the truth came out, Luna could face life in prison. But Liam’s death was too significant to ignore.

Bill’s Dilemma

Bill was faced with an impossible decision:

• Turn Luna in to the authorities and let her face the consequences of her actions.
• Cover up the crime to protect Luna, despite the risk to himself and the devastating reality of losing his son.

The question lingered: What would Bill choose to do next? Would he prioritize justice for Liam, or would he risk everything to save Luna?
