Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Johnny & Chanel’s Adoption Plan–Sophia’s Web of Lies!

On today’s Days of Our Lives, Maggie returns from a shopping trip with Julie and checks in on Holly.

She asks about her Valentine’s Day, and Holly says it was great. Maggie is relieved, hoping Doug didn’t get in the way. She was only referring to Doug retrieving the book of poems from the cabin.

Holly reassures her that everything is fine, though she remembers Doug telling her about the stolen necklace. To cover her distraction, she tells Maggie that Doug admitted having feelings for her.

Maggie asks how she feels about it. Holly insists it meant nothing—she loves Tate. Doug was embarrassed and backed off, but Tate doesn’t know, and she fears he might already be jealous.

Maggie just hopes Doug understands where Holly stands. Holly decides to let it go, as Doug left before she could respond.

Maggie shifts the conversation to the adoption, wondering if Holly has thought about what happens if it falls through. Holly says they’ll figure it out together.

Meanwhile, at the Horton house, Doug reflects on confessing his feelings to Holly. Julie interrupts, asking what he’s thinking about.

He dodges the question, saying he was just remembering Grandpa Doug’s way with words. Julie treasures the book of poems but remains heartbroken over her missing grandmother’s necklace. Doug reassures her that the thief is to blame, not her.

Julie then reads a letter from her brother Steven, swearing he had nothing to do with the theft. She recounts his shady past but ultimately trusts him.

Doug directly asks if she thinks he stole it. Julie firmly says no, reminding him that just because he had a run-in with the law, like his grandfather, doesn’t mean he’s guilty. Since she’s sure Steve is innocent, she plans to file a police report with JJ.

Before leaving to get groceries, Julie thanks Doug for being wonderful. He looks troubled as she walks out.

Elsewhere, Tate meets Sophia for breakfast and learns she’s feeling better now that her mom supports the adoption.

Tate excitedly shares the news about Chanel and Johnny’s adoption plans. Sophia wonders why he didn’t tell her sooner—did Holly know first? Tate admits she did, which makes Sophia believe Holly is relieved the baby won’t be an issue anymore.

As they talk, Sophia’s mother, Amy, arrives. Sophia lies, saying Chanel and Johnny are very religious and Chanel even runs a Bible study group.

Amy is pleased and insists on meeting them for lunch. After she leaves, Tate raises an eyebrow: “Bible study? This should be interesting.”

Johnny visits Marlena, bringing roses for Chanel. He shares that Chanel’s procedure went well and that they haven’t told Paulina yet, fearing she’d overreact. Johnny reveals that he and Chanel want to adopt immediately. Marlena questions the rush but ultimately wishes them luck.

At the hospital, Paulina finds out about Chanel’s procedure and scolds her for keeping it a secret. Chanel reassures her mother and explains their adoption plans. Paulina is supportive but warns that adopting within the family could be complicated.

Later, Johnny and Chanel prepare to meet Amy, eager to find out if they’ll become parents. Sophia warns them: “There’s just one—or maybe two—things you should probably know first.”

Meanwhile, Doug stares out the window, deep in thought, as Holly silently walks in.
