Days of Our Lives Monday, April 21 Update: Susan Returns for EJ – Xander Grills Alex & Stephanie

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Monday, April 21, reveals that Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) will return for EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) while Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) faces backlash. Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) will also grill Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) and Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein), so some tense moments are on the way.

Now that Xander knows Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) betrayed him with that forged letter, he’s wondering who else might’ve been in the loop on the scam.

Philip tried to convince Xander this was a two-person operation and that Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) was the only other key player.

However, Xander could still end up suspecting Stephanie and Alex were part of the secret circle.

Of course, Days spoilers say this will be a tricky situation for Alex and Stephanie to navigate.

Since Stephanie and Alex won’t want to blow up Sarah Horton Kiriakis’ (Linsey Godfrey) marriage, they’ll have to handle Xander’s grilling session with that in mind.

Despite the guilt that’s on the rise for Sarah, she’ll be determined to protect her relationship with Xander – and that means leaving him in the dark on the fact that she’s been lying to him. As for Philip, he’ll confide in Belle Black (Martha Madison) now that the whole scheme has blown up in his face.

Philip will be sorry for dragging Belle into this mess as his lawyer, so look for these exes to trade promises on Monday’s DOOL episode.

Next on Monday’s Days episode, Rex will face some backlash from his mom – presumably for poking around Kate Roberts Brady’s (Lauren Koslow) drawer, finding the gun and stirring up Roman Brady’s (Josh Taylor) suspicions.

Kate may once again assure Rex that she didn’t go as far as firing at EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) to get revenge.

At the hospital, Susan will stop by EJ’s bedside and wonder who could be so “mean, mean, mean” to her son!

Days spoilers say EJ’s mom will come back on the scene to offer support and mull over who could’ve done this to him. After Susan dotes on EJ and pushes him to pull through, it looks like he’ll awaken as part of Monday’s cliffhanger.

Susan may make some predictions about being there for EJ as he recovers, but everyone will await updates on the mystery shooter news first.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) will want to have a conversation with EJ and try to get to the bottom of what happened later during the week of April 21-25.
