Bo And Hope’s Return & John’s Tragic 𝙳𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚑 Signal A New Era for Days Of Our Lives

Days of our Lives Offers a Bo and Hope Reunion
In May, Days of our Lives fans will finally get the happy ending they have been waiting for since 2023 for Bo Brady and Hope Williams Brady.
Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso will be back as Bo finally emerges from his coma with Hope by his side. (Make sure to check out our next week DOOL spoilers, here!)
In 2023, Hope learned that Megan DiMera had Bo cryogenically frozen for years after he died in her arms back in 2015. Bo didn’t exactly remember the kind of person he was at the time and even had a gun trained on Hope atop a Grecian mountain.
Hope had finally gotten through to Bo when their son Shawn-Douglas Brady (Brandon Beemer) came along and shot his father thinking that he was protecting his mother.

Bo has been in a coma ever since, but that is all about to change next month, according to new head writers Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Ford.
“Bo/Hope’s previous exit story could not be executed as originally planned, and we felt we needed to give them — and their fans — the resolution they deserved,” the writers told TV Insider.
We expect to see Bo and Hope back in Salem this time with their friends and family, which will certainly be a sight for sore eyes.
Marlena’s Unbearable Grief
Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will soon learn that her beloved John Black is dead. After all these years of defying death on adventure after adventure, John is gone and Marlena has to find a way to move on.
Sadly, John’s death was dictated by the fact that Drake Hogestyn died last fall, which made writing the story all the more tragic. Watching Marlena mourn John will be heartbreaking.
“Marlena will be very busy in the coming months as a mother, grandmother, psychiatrist, and friend,” the writers said. “She has counseled many patients on grief and has obviously experienced loss herself, but losing John forces her to re-explore who she is without him.”
The writers said they want to return to more human storytelling and it looks like they are headed that way.
