General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Blows The Roof Off Lulu’s Gio Reveal
General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest the week of May 12-16 will have plenty of bombshells dropped.
The weekly promo has just been released, and from the looks of it, the truth surrounding Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri’s parentage is finally going to be revealed.
This will undoubtedly catch many characters completely off guard, but the three most affected will be Gio, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), as well as Brook Lynn Quartermaine-Chase (Amanda Setton).
Both Gio and Dante will be thrown for a bigger loop than Brook Lynn, but it’s safe to say that all three parties will be shocked.
Gio has no clue he was adopted, while Dante was never in the loop about Brook Lynn’s teen pregnancy and subsequent adoption.
Needless to say, there will be others who are stunned by the news, and some characters who will probably feel betrayed by Lois Cerullo’s (Rena Sofer) actions.
But, how will everyone feel about the person who blows the whistle on all this?
Since Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) accidentally stumbled upon Brook Lynn’s adoption secret, she’s been wanting to spill the news to Dante.
With that said, she’s been advised by many people to keep it to herself, one of those confidantes being Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
During the GH preview for the week of May 12-16, Lulu tells Carly that Dante and Brook Lynn’s baby is Gio, while the next scene in the promo shows Tracy Quartermain (Jane Elliot) telling Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), “I need you to find him.”
It sounds like Tracy will turn to Jason, looking for help in finding her long-lost great-grandson, who is ironically right under her nose.
Carly has told Lulu multiple times to keep her mouth shut about Brook Lynn’s adoption; however, the fact that Dante’s son is Gio changes everything.
As an only child, Gio has no family as both of his adoptive parents passed away.
Add in the fact that both Brook Lynn and Dante watched their son grow up without knowing he was their son, and now live with the young man, Carly, may believe that this situation has now changed, and both mom and dad should know about Gio.
With that said, Carly is close to Jason, so will she end up spilling what she knows to him?
Then again, the two may simply ‘catch up’ at some point after her conversation with Lulu, and he may confide in his bestie what his Aunt Tracy has asked of him. Could this trigger Carly to take the matter into her own hands?
If she knows Tracy is hot on the trail of finding her great-grandson, she may also realize that the woman won’t stop until she finds Brook Lynn’s son. Carly may feel that it is far better to break the news to Dante and Brook Lynn before Tracy learns the truth.
As such, there’s a chance that Lulu and Carly ‘divide and conquer’; Lulu tells Dante the truth, while Carly spills to Jason, hoping that he’ll tell his cousin in a gentle way.
What if Gio, Dante, or Brook Lynn learn about the truth by overhearing Carly and Lulu talking about it?
This would be the worst kind of way to find out about this long-hidden secret. Regardless of how the truth comes out, there are so many characters who will be hurt.
Not only will Dante feel betrayed by Brook Lynn, but Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) will also feel burned that Lois never brought them into the loop.
Not to mention, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth)! Plus, Brook Lynn will wonder what her Ma was thinking, adopting her son to a family within the Bensonhurst neighborhood.
It’s sure to rock both Dante and Brook Lynn that they watched Gio grow up without “being” there for him.
Then there’s Gio, whose world will be flipped upside learning he’s not only a Quartermaine, but a Corinthos!
General Hospital spoilers suggest the proverbial poop will hit the fan in PC once the news is out, so here’s hoping that this bandage is finally ripped off, so people can deal with the aftermath, heal, and establish bonds.
