Unexpected Returns & Sudden Goodbyes: Days of Our Lives Cast in Chaos This June

Bope’s Return
Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate fans are waiting for the highly anticipated return of Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso), any day now!
As Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans), Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols), and Shawn-Douglas Brady (Brandon Beemer) race to steal the experimental drug from the hospital lab, will they save Bo in time?
The answer to this is likely ‘yes’, but it can’t come soon enough! While the return is a short one, Reckell has been quoted as saying these episodes with Bo will not disappoint, and this is something he believes the fans are going to love.
Arianna Horton – All Grown Up
In addition, Arianna Horton will be SORASed sometime in May 2025, as daytime newcomer, Marissa Reyes enters the role.
Expect Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Gabi Hernandez’s (Cherie Jimenez) offspring to shake up Salem’s teen scene at some point, so it’ll be interesting to see what kind of drama Arianna can bring to the table.
Eight Major Character Returns – June 2025
Speaking of Will, he, along with Carrie Brady Reed (Christie Clarke), Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis), Anna Dimera (Leann Hunley), Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford), Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Melissa Reeves), Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy), and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal), are all slated to return for a storyline in June 2025.
There’s a good chance they are all coming back to say goodbye to John Black (Drake Hogestyn), as his exit storyline is approaching.
Gwen Rizczech Returning
Gwen Rizczech exited in October 2023, as actress Emily O’Brien switched gears to play Theresa Donovan, taking over from actress Jen Lilley.
O’Brien did a fantastic job as Theresa, until the character was sent to prison in September 2024 for her role in forging Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) will.
She made a brief return in March 2025, once she was released from her jail term; however, she quickly left town to be with her mom, Kimberly Donovan (Patsy Pease), who found out her cancer had once again returned.
It’s been announced that O’Brien is once again returning to Salem in July of this year to reprise her Gwen Rizczech role, so what kind of trouble will this character stir up when she comes back?
Hank Northrop Joining The Cast
Meanwhile, Hank Northrop, the son of soap legends Lynn Herring (General Hospital’s Lucy Coe) and the late Wayne Northrop, who played Days’ Roman Brady, will join DOOL sometime in late 2025.
As of this writing, it’s unclear who Hank will play, but it has been reported that he’ll have a number of scenes with his father’s onscreen best friend, James Reynolds (Abe Carver).
Wayne Northrop played Roman from 1981 to 1984, as well as from 1991 to 1994. In addition, Wayne played the Days character, Alex North, from 2005 to 2006. The actor passed away last November 2024.
