General Hospital Spoilers: Has The Soap Dropped The Ball With Isaiah Gannon? 3 Storylines Ideas That Can Elevate The Character
General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint Isaiah Gannon (Swandi Wilson) burst onto the Port Charles scene last year as Lucky Spencer’s (Jonathan Jackson) friend from his missionary travels outside of town.
The doctor is smart, charming, can think on his feet, and is handsome, but somehow, he’s gone from the spotlight to the sidelines.
His hot romance with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) was halted, and currently, it seems like all that Isaiah is used for is doctor-related scenes. Has the soap dropped the ball on this character? Here are 3 ways they can turn things around.
1) Plot Twist – Isaiah Isn’t A Nice Guy After All
Not that much is known about Isaiah, and he may have been loyal to Lucky during their time on the run, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a dark past, with even darker connections. Isaiah is really nice and thoughtful, but is it all an act?
Brick (Stephen A. Smith) had made a comment some months ago about looking into Isaiah’s past and noted something about his family when he caught the good doctor with Jordan at her apartment when they were secretly hooking up.
Could Isaiah be up to no good in Port Charles? Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) penthouse explosion seemed to happen shortly after he and Isaiah crossed paths. Could Isaiah have had a part in this targeted attack, either for reasons of his own or because he’s being blackmailed into doing it?
2) ‘A Secret’ Storyline
Speaking of Isaiah’s past, what if the show concocted a secret that Isaiah had hidden both from Lucky and his new friends in Port Charles? Maybe a family member of his shows up in the little town, and an arc unravels around a mystery that happened when he was younger.
Then again, perhaps an old flame or colleague pops out of the shadows and starts blackmailing the doctor because of something that happened in his past?
3) A REAL Romance
Maybe all Isaiah needs is a love story! Things with Jordan didn’t work out; however, he’s had plenty of chemistry with other characters, including Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), her sister Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), as well as Willow Tait-Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen).
Isaiah diving into a romantic storyline with any three of these ladies would be intriguing, to say the least!
