‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Can The Morally Challenged Xander, Philip, And EJ Be Redeemed?

‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers wonder whether the morally challenged Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer), Philip Kiriakis (John Paul Lavoisier), and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) can be redeemed.

‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: EJ Protected Johnny As He Believes His Son Was The One Who Shot Him

These three men constantly bend the rules, break the law, and make questionable choices that often leave us in shock and awe.

EJ has supposedly been trying to become a better person since he emerged from his coma, and thanks to Belle Black (Martha Madison), he may even succeed.

We can’t really tell, though, if Belle has truly changed him or made him a watered-down version of himself.

It was funny to us on Friday’s episode of Days when EJ spoke on the phone with someone and mentioned that he still wanted Kristen DiMera’s (Stacey Haiduk) mother far away from Salem since she could testify against him about his numerous crimes.

However, EJ has protected his son, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), from facing legal consequences, as he still believes Johnny was the one who shot him. Honestly, it could have been practically anyone in Salem who pulled the trigger on EJ.

After holding Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) hostage and hiring his doppelganger, Arnold Feniger (Galen Gering), to pose as Rafe for months, everyone wanted to kill EJ.

Not to mention his role in Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) remaining in captivity due to his mutually beneficial deal with Rachel Blake (Roslyn Gentle).

EJ was arrogant about getting away with his crimes and practically boasted to those who tried to stop him that they couldn’t prove he did anything wrong.

‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Philip Forged A Letter From Victor To Steal Titan From Xander

EJ really seemed to turn a corner when he woke up from his coma. Recently, Belle tried to break up with EJ as she believed her late father, John Black (Drake Hogestyn), would disapprove of their relationship.

She went back to him on Friday and decided she loved him and wanted to be with him. Only time will tell if EJ can live up to the man Belle sees when she looks at him.

Then there is fric and frac. We mean Xander and Philip. Xander was furious with Philip for forging a letter from Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) naming Philip as the owner of Titan.

However, Victor had wanted Xander to run the company and made that clear before he died. Belle represented Philip in the ensuing legal case, and the judge ruled that the two brothers would share Titan 50/50.

A miracle occurred, and Philip and Xander started to act like real brothers. They high-fived each other when they scored a victory, worked well together to take DiMera out from under Kristen, and forged a strong bond.

We knew their newfound brotherhood wouldn’t last, and we were almost hoping the truth wouldn’t come out. However, the truth about the letter forgery created a tense conflict, not only between Xander and Philip but also between Xander and his wife, Sarah Horton Kiriakis (Linsey Godfrey).

‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: These Three Men Need To Change For The Greater Good

Xander went to Philip’s hotel suite and beat him to a bloody pulp. Sarah was disgusted with her husband for almost killing his brother and wouldn’t allow him to see their daughter, Victoria.

Now, Xander and Sarah are embroiled in a bitter custody battle, and Xander almost smothered Philip to death with a pillow while he was helplessly lying in his hospital bed, unconscious.

However, Xander changed his tune real quick once Philip opened his eyes. The brothers agreed it would benefit both of them if Philip stayed quiet and denied that Xander was the one who nearly beat him to death, since Xander doesn’t want to go to prison and Philip wants to retain his claim on Titan-DiMera.

Xander seemed to offer Philip a sincere apology, and Philip, in turn, apologized to Xander for deceiving him. It was what we had hoped would happen eventually.

If Xander and Philip treat each other better for the greater good, we can see them both becoming better people.

There may be hope for these three men, but if they refuse to admit their wrongdoings and take responsibility, EJ, Xander, and Philip should honor their relationships and not allow their past to define them.
