General Hospital Spoilers: Gio Betrays Sonny’s Orders with Disastrous Results – Sidwell Hits Grandpa Where It Hurts?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazzi) may betray Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) orders with disastrous results. Will Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) hit Grandpa Sonny where it hurts and go after Gio?
In the July 10 episode, Gio overheard Sidwell talking about the flight plan to Belize and his goal of getting the Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) investigation reopened.
That news sent Gio running straight to Sonny’s house, where he tipped his grandfather off. However, Sonny’s response was quick and fierce.
Gio was warned to stay out of it since Sonny is concerned about the threat Sidwell poses – especially after what just happened to Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) at Charlie Pub.
Sonny doesn’t want Gio listening in on Sidwell’s conversations or doing anything else that might put him in danger. It’s easy to see why Sonny’s so on edge since Kristina could’ve died in that fire.
In fact, Sonny admitted Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) was right to protect Gio and pushed his grandson to just stay away from him – at least for now.
Despite Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) attempt to push Sonny toward a ceasefire with Sidwell, things seem poised to escalate instead – especially if he targets Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo).
Carly’s been predicting that someone else could get hurt, so that someone could easily be Gio.
Staying away from Sonny may not be enough to keep Gio safe since everyone knows about their blood tie by now. It’s not like the distance will change anything about Gio and Sonny’s family connection.
Unfortunately, Gio could put even more of a target on his back if he goes against Sonny’s orders.
Although Sonny demanded that Gio steer clear of Sidwell, Gio may not listen and could do something to provoke Sonny’s rival in the end.
It makes sense for Gio to land in grave danger and potentially face a major hospital crisis. This could lead to some scary news for Gio’s loved ones in the coming weeks.
It’d be the perfect setup for Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) to rally around their injured son as they think about all the time they’ve missed.
If Gio does get hurt due to Sonny and Sidwell’s rising hostility, that could be the last straw for Sonny.
This could turn into a situation where Sonny won’t rest until he wipes Sidwell off the map and completely obliterates the empire he’s trying to build in Port Charles.
