Days of Our Lives Week of July 21 Preview: Doug Leaves Salem, Marlena Collapses and EJ Gets Hypnotized

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers preview video for the week of July 21-25 reveals that Doug Williams III (Peyton Meyer) will leave Salem while Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) collapses in court. EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) will also get hypnotized, so here’s what Days fans can look forward to.

DOOL’s weekly promo kicks off with Doug stopping by the Horton house to apologize to Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and say goodbye.

Julie will admit that Doug has a great deal of potential, so she’ll hope maybe he can turn his life around.

Doug and Julie will share a tender moment despite all the necklace drama, so at least they’ll somewhat make peace before his exit.

Next, Tate Black (Leo Howard) will call Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) back after getting her voicemail about supposedly being in labor.

Once Tate asks if Sophia is OK, she’ll insist she had the baby already.

Sophia will claim she gave birth in Chicago and let the adoptive parents take the baby home, so Tate will face plenty of shocking news.

Next, EJ will be willing to try anything to find the culprit who fired at him that night.

At Belle Black’s (Martha Madison) urging, EJ will let Marlena hypnotize him and try to dig up those buried memories.

While EJ’s under hypnosis, Marlena will ask who he’s talking to and will push him to tell her what he saw.

EJ looks visibly distressed as he tries to remember in Days’ weekly promo, but we know Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) trial will move forward regardless.

In the courtroom later, Marlena will collapse into Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) arms as Belle, Johnny and EJ watch nearby.

Belle will rush to Marlena’s side and panic over her mom’s sudden health crisis.

“Mom! Wake up!” Belle exclaims in Days’ weekly preview video.

As for Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) and Arianna “Ari” Horton (Marissa Reyes), they’ll get creative in captivity.

Ari will try to crawl to freedom after removing a grate, but she’ll cry out once she’s inside and things go wrong.

In the town square, Gwen von Leuschner (Emily O’Brien) will push Gabi Hernandez’s (Cherie Jimenez) buttons over Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash).

Gwen will mention that Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) may not be the only DiMera who’s gone MIA, so she’ll get under Gabi’s skin and launch some conflict with her.
