General Hospital Spoilers: Sofia Mattsson Is Hopeful That “Sasha and Michael Reunite One Day!”
General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sofia Mattsson is officially off the canvas as Sasha Gilmore Corbin. But she’s already talking about making a comeback for Chapter Two of
Sasha’s Roller Coaster Life
What would that look like? Mattsson told TV Insider that she hopes for “Sasha and Michael to reunite one day!” We’d like that, too, as Sasha proved herself to be equal parts brass and tenderness as she navigated a very soapy life.
Mattsson isn’t counting out a GH return some day, so let’s take a look back at her character even as Mattsson and her fans look forward to a possible return!
Will Sasha Return One Day?
Sasha left her baby daddy Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) behind in PC, escorted by Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to her new destination during the July 18 episode. Fans saw the two fly off to France with Daisy Gilmore (Brenden and Evelyn Beimford) and end up at Robert Scorpio’s (Tristan Rogers) place.
Robert and Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) now have a chance to connect with Sasha and Daisy and fans were pleased with the happy ending.
Sasha Had a Hard Time in PC
Poor Sasha went through many trials and tribulations during her time in PC, and as a soap heroine she certainly deserves to live happily ever after. In PC she overcame a drug addiction and suffered through the loss of her husband and their baby.
But the character had redeemed herself from her early days when she came to town to hoodwink Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
Mattsson recalled her fave GH memories and mentioned Sasha’s romances. In particular she mentioned Sasha’s love story with Brando Corbin (the late Johnny Wactor) and her fledgling connection with Michael.
Will Sasha Return to PC?
Mattsson noted that she received “an overwhelmingly positive response to our chemistry since Rory [Gibson] took over the role.” She added “Who knows in the future? I’m rooting for Sasha and Michael to reunite one day!”
She went on to say that “being on a soap is one of the best jobs you can have as an actress” and is open to trying another soap gig. Tell us GH fans, would you like to see Mattsson return to PC one day as Sasha?
