General Hospital Friday, August 8 Recap: Obrecht Faces Dante’s Prison Threat – Drew’s Insurance Fraud Report

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, August 8, reveals that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) faced Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) prison threat. Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) also worked on an insurance fraud report, so here’s how all Friday’s action played out.

At the hospital, Drew ambushed Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) to get updates on how Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) was holding up.

Drew clearly didn’t think Willow was better off without him, but Liz defended Willow’s right to make her own decisions and felt she needed space.

Although Drew was upset over all the drama, he was glad Willow had Liz to lean on.

Meanwhile, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) gave Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) the news that she was staying at GH and fixing her marriage, so he was happy for her.

Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) witnessed a close moment between Isaiah and Portia, so she confronted Portia in the aftermath.

Portia defended her friendship with Isaiah and insisted she was keeping things professional. Once Stella heard about Portia and Curtis working on their relationship, she was pleased.

Drew ultimately spotted Stella and Portia in a warm embrace, which seemed to set him off.

After Drew whipped out his phone, he made a call to open an insurance fraud investigation and obviously planned to make trouble for Stella.

In the park, Curtis ran into Jordan and gave her credit now that he was getting his marriage back on track.

Jordan had pumped the brakes on any romantic rekindling, so Curtis was grateful and suggested maybe they could get back to being friends.

Talk turned to the perks of Jordan’s lucrative job working for Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), so she pointed out her new luxury apartment in the distance.

When Isaiah showed up in the park, he spotted Curtis chatting with Jordan and looked concerned over their lingering bond.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) told Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) that Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) wasn’t seeing visitors today, but Alexis sought his help with an important matter.

Since Drew wanted to move Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) to D.C., Alexis was hoping Monica could change his mind. Alexis convinced Jason to speak with Monica and see if she’d be willing to talk to Drew.

After Jason spoke with Monica, he let Alexis know that she was indeed willing to try getting through to Drew for Scout’s sake.

In Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) office, she summoned Dante and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) for a meeting about Liesl and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr).

Laura pushed for peace and an acceptable way for Rocco to get the answers he was seeking without going behind his parents’ backs. After Laura agreed to set up a meeting, Liesl arrived soon after.

Since Dante and Lulu wanted to supervise Obrecht’s next visit with Rocco, she was offended and clearly felt like they’d control the flow of information.

Obrecht wanted a chance to bond with Rocco and acted like she should be given grandmother status, but Dante and Lulu disagreed.

Dante got increasingly agitated over Liesl being deranged and didn’t want her around Rocco at all now.

In fact, Dante threatened dig up every arrest warrant possible and have Obrecht thrown in jail unless she left town right away.

Obrecht flashed a devious smile and wondered how Dante would explain that to Rocco since he was relying on her for answers.

At the Metro Court, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) pitched the idea of a romantic weekend getaway to Finger Lakes during a conversation with Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna).

Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) came along and got Brennan nervous that she might spill the truth about Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).

However, Anna acted like she wanted to discuss Lucas Jones’ (Van Hansis) kidnapping accusations against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) instead.

After Carly stomped off, Brennan gave Anna another reminder that blabbing about Josslyn and her WSB work would be treason.

Anna still warned Brennan that she’d come clean to Carly about Joss if anything bad happened to her.

Later, Brennan met back up with Carly and hinted that he hadn’t been completely honest, so she seemed taken aback.

At the Five Poppies Resort, Pascal (Marc Forget) complained since Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) was sipping cocktails and lounging around instead of working in the lab.

Britt insisted she was on strike and complained about the lab’s air circulation, so Pascal made sure it was fixed and tried to get her back in there.

When Britt suggested she needed a nap from all the cocktails, Pascal turned more menacing and grabbed her arm.

When Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) strolled in with Josslyn on his arm, he asked if this is where they checked in.

Britt’s face was turned the other way and she had a giant hat on, so Josslyn didn’t recognize who she was.

Back with Anna, she caught Jason off guard when she tracked him down and suggested she was wrong before.

Now Anna felt that Jason should go looking for Britt as soon as possible.

General Hospital spoilers say Jason will try to get to the bottom of Anna’s change of heart soon, so stay tuned.
