Having slept with both Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) in a short span of time, a positive pregnancy test causes her to question-who’s the daddy?
You Would Think A Doctor Would Know Not To Skip Doses Of Birth Control Pills
You would think a doctor would know not to skip doses of birth control pills, but then, Portia has been under a whole lot of stress lately-no medical mistakes, thank God.
She’s kept all of her work appointments and done everything that she is expected to do as a co-Chief of Staff. She even helped save Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) life, assisting Dr. Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) in removing the bullets from his back-not making any fatal mistakes.
Not that Portia wasn’t tempted-if she’d been in that operating room by herself instead of with witnesses, Drew may have had a fatal outcome. And, pretty much all of Portia’s problems would have died with him, but she listened to her better angels!
Portia Misses A Period-And Realizes That’s Not All She Missed!
But then, Portia misses a period-and realizes that’s not all she missed as she looks at her supply of birth control pills-there are over a week’s worth still there! Portia goes into a near panic, realizing that she may be pregnant, and rushes to take a pregnancy test-it’s positive; but it’s like a case of déjà vu.
The only thing was, it was when she was pregnant with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and she knew the baby couldn’t be Marcus Taggert’s (Réal Andrews).
She had to concoct all kinds of wild stories to make it believable Trina was his, when she’d been having an affair with Curtis.
This time, her impulsive tryst with Isaiah was within two weeks, not two months, of having makeup sex with Curtis, and this time it really is ”Who’s the Daddy?”
Portia Wants To Move On With Isaiah, But The Pregnancy Presents Some Problems
Portia wants to move on with Isaiah, but the pregnancy presents some problems-Curtis will assume that the baby is his, since he doesn’t know about Portia’s affair.
But Isaiah doesn’t know that Portia was sleeping with Curtis so close to the time she slept with him, and she doesn’t want either man to know she slept with the other! Adding to her problem is agreeing with Isaiah that their relationship must be in strict secrecy, since she’s technically his boss!
In essence, the pregnancy itself is more of a dilemma than who the father might be; it’s too late in the game for a morning after pill.
Will Portia go to another hospital to terminate the pregnancy, or will she decide to keep the baby-she’s between a rock and a hard place!
