Blue Bloods Had Viewers ‘In Tears’ As Jamie And Danny Reconcile

Blue Bloods has left fans overcome with emotion after Jamie and Danny put their differences aside and apologised to one another.

CBS’ procedural drama tells the complicated story of the Reagan family as well as the often dangerous cases they solve in their law enforcement roles.

After brothers Jamie Reagan (played by Will Estes) and Danny Reagan (Donnie Walberg) left an investigation in the middle of their relationship, fans were teary-eyed to see them finally make peace.

Blue Bloods follows the life of police commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) and his adult children.

As well as their demanding careers, the show also shone a light on their personal lives which often surrounded conflict, as they would frequently butt heads.

This was the case in episode six, as Danny was furious that Jamie got involved when he and Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) were investigating a violent mugging.

Although Jamie tried to make amends, Danny had brushed off all hopes of reconciliation until Friday’s episode.

With Jamie’s new role as the field intelligence sergeant, he was made aware of the gang-related shooting Danny was working on and chose a different outcome for the case.

While Danny wanted the criminal, Elijah (Danny Olabi) thrown in jail, Jamie had bigger fish to fry and wanted to take on the mob boss.

With both Elijah and his boss in jail, Jamie’s plan proved to be a success, but it left Danny angered.

During the most recent episode, Danny finally opened up to Baez and revealed he didn’t want to lose another brother in the line of duty.

He eventually told Jamie his fears and apologised for his actions during the investigation.

Danny added he couldn’t have closed his case without Jamie and admitted he realised that he can be a pain sometimes.

While Jamie and his wife Eddie Janko Reagan (Vanessa Ray) teased him, Jamie ultimately accepted the apology as they agreed to put it behind them.

Viewers were left emotional as they took to social media to share their feelings and relate to their own family disputes.

@Angela07_10 tweeted: “Loved tonight’s #BlueBloods episode! I got teary-eyed when Danny was talking about why he was giving Jaimie a hard time.”

@DonniesNaughty added: “Emotional! Reminded me of how my relationship with my family is.”

A third fan @blockheadrissa wrote: “I was so tensed up seeing everyone fighting. Glad things all cleared within this episode.

“I don’t think I could go another week wondering when the fight would be resolved. Lol”

@DDubsSCGirl shared: “A lot of emotions tonight, glad Danny apologized to Jamie. Also nice to see the relationships between the others and how they handle disagreements.”

An emotional @LexiDyer2022 added: “#BlueBloods the episode was excellent tonight. Almost had me in tears.”

A relieved @ChantinaF stated: “This episode was emotional and intense. I’m glad Danny listened to Baez and talked to Jamie.”

Though many were glad to see the brothers make amends, fans will have to tune in next week to see if their complicated history won’t come back to haunt them.
