Xander receives stunning news, while Abigail almost kisses Chad. As Steve sits at the bar picking over his burger, he tells a much cheerier Kayla that he can’t stop thinking about Abigail.
At that moment, Abigail is on the phone at the DiMera mansion, letting someone know Steve won’t be as easy to fool as everyone else. This being Days of Our Lives, of course, she has this conversation with the doors wide open, just as Chad walks in.
She quickly hangs up and pretends she was ordering sushi. Chad is suspicious but buys her excuse. They discuss Steve, and Abigail explains how she talked to him earlier.
Chad tries to help Abigail understand that things seem too good to be true, which makes people cautious. Abigail wonders if he feels the same, and Chad reassures her that he prayed for this miracle every night since she left him.
He then shows her their wedding album, hoping it will jog her memory. As they flip through the pages, Abigail is surprised to see they were married multiple times. Chad admits they’ve had ups and downs, but they always found their way back to each other—just like now.
As they share a touching moment, they almost kiss but are interrupted by a call from Julie about their daughter Charlotte.
Abigail thanks Chad for bringing the photo album, saying she was lucky to have him. Chad responds that he was the lucky one, and still is.
Meanwhile, Steve admits to Kayla that he can’t understand why Abigail lied to him. She claimed she was on the phone with Kayla, but Kayla denied the conversation ever happened.
