Ken Corday Talks About A Major Shift & “Facelift” Headed For Days Of Our Lives – Coming Soon!
Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal there has been a ton of changes in the soap over the past couple of years. Co-executive producer, Albert Alarr was let go in 2023 after an investigation into inappropriate behavior, and former Head Writer, Ron Carlivati, exited the show in July 2024.
DOOL’s Executive Producer, Ken Corday, recently teased some major changes on the horizon for the popular daytime drama, coming very soon.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Ken Corday On DOOL’s Streaming Performance
Corday spoke with TV Insider and talked about the soap’s decision to move off cable, and onto the streaming platform, Peacock, in 2022.
He states that the daytime drama consistently hits Peacock’s ‘Top 10’ shows, which proves fans didn’t completely “stray away,” when it left the NBC network.
He added when the soap made the move, almost half of Days viewers “stuck with us” – an incredible surprise, which shows that the DOOL “thrives on a new platform.”
Still, while he praised former head writer, Carlivati, Corday told TV Insider that the soap needed a facelift, explaining, “Our previous head writer had a wonderful, long run, but change is a constant, and sometimes change is called for, and this was a case where it was clear to me it was.”
