1) Doug plays the hero

Now that Doug’s theft has been exposed, he’s definitely on Julie’s bad side.

Julie immediately threw Doug out of the house and couldn’t even look at him during his attempt to apologize.

However, DOOL fans can see that turning against Doug is tearing Julie up inside.

Julie wants to forgive Doug deep down, but she needs time to cool off and a reason to give Doug a pass. That reason could come in the form of Doug’s heroic efforts.

There might be some situation where Doug saves Julie’s life or the lives of people she cares about.

Days spoilers suggest that might be enough to make Julie see Doug in a positive light again. If Doug plays the hero somehow, it could go a long way toward redeeming him.

2) Doug’s charitable move

Another path to redemption might come in the form of Doug’s charitable move.

Julie might have a meaningful dream or even see some sign that she feels the elder Doug has given her.

Perhaps Doug III’s grandfather could give Julie a nudge in the direction of forgiveness and make her realize that’s what he would want.

Since her husband once made criminal mistakes of his own, Julie may ultimately forgive Doug’s grandson and get past all the necklace drama.
