The Devil Made Him Do It: Is DAYS’ Johnny EJ’s Shooter?!?🤔
Seething With Anger
Anyone who watches Days of Our Lives was not surprised that EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) took a bullet. He is pretty much the most hated person in Salem. There is a list of suspects a mile long and on that list is his son, Johnny (Carson Boatman). The scion just found out he was conceived because EJ raped Sami (Alison Sweeney). That set the young man on a collision course with his father. Johnny unleashed his anger on EJ with his fists.

Finding out he was born because his father raped his mother was too much for Johnny. While Johnny is not a violent character by nature, his reaction was pretty on point if you ask me. But, would he actually put a bullet in his father?

You’ll remember Johnny was once possessed by the devil. The storyline began in late December 2021, following the exorcism of his grandmother, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). The devil sought a new host and found Johnny suitable, partly due to his skepticism about Marlena’s previous possession and his plans to create a film based on her experience. During his possession, Johnny, referred to as “JoDevil,” exhibited several out-of-character behaviors:
Publicly Ended His Marriage: At their engagement party, Johnny abruptly and cruelly ended his marriage to Chanel (Raven Bowens), shocking her and their families.
Manipulated Family Dynamics: The devil, through Johnny, impersonated EJ and made inappropriate advances toward Abigail (Marci Miller), leading to EJ’s imprisonment and causing discord within the DiMera family.
Sabotaged Relationships: JoDevil exposed a secret tryst between Allie (Lindsay Arnold) and Chanel to Tripp (Lucas Adams), resulting in the dissolution of Allie and Tripp’s relationship.
Pursued Power and Seduction: He attempted to seduce Gabi (then Camila Banus) and manipulated corporate power dynamics to serve the devil’s interests.
Eventually, Johnny’s consciousness resurfaced, and he began to resist the devil’s control. However, the devil threatened harm to his young cousins, Thomas and Charlotte, compelling Johnny to suppress his resistance. The possession concluded when the devil transferred to Allie, leaving Johnny unconscious.
It is possible that the devil has made a return and Johnny shot EJ. It is also possible that Johnny shot EJ of his own volition. Do you really think he could shoot EJ, his own father, even after the depths of hurt surrounding Johnny’s conception? However the story plays out, of one thing I am certain…Carson Boatman will knock it out of the park. He is one of the show’s most talented actors, so whatever the outcome, I know he will sell it to the viewers.
