EJ wakes up but doesn’t reveal who 𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚝 him Days of Our Lives Spoilers

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) may lie about the real shooter.

Once EJ wakes up in the hospital, he could easily point the finger at the wrong suspect.

DOOL fans know EJ is in a medically induced coma as he fights to recover from a gunshot wound.

However, Dan Feuerriegel isn’t leaving Days, so it’s just a matter of time until EJ awakens and faces the cops’ questions.

What happens once EJ offers his version of events? Will EJ tell the truth about what happened that night or perhaps deceive the Salem PD instead?

If Days writers want to drag this Days storyline out a little longer, EJ might claim the wrong suspect did the deed.

There are multiple reasons why EJ might do something like that.

For starters, it’s possible EJ got or will get a dose of that memory-altering drug, so he could find himself unable to remember who pulled the trigger.

Considering the coma and everything EJ’s been through, it’s also possible his amnesia will come naturally.

Regardless, EJ could worry that someone like Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) shot him and decide to accuse an enemy instead of his own son.

Even if EJ doesn’t recall who came after him, he might claim he does to throw the cops off the trail.

If EJ’s memory comes back in bits and pieces, that could affect things, too.

EJ might put the wrong puzzle pieces together and mistakenly accuse someone who didn’t actually commit the crime.

Then again, we should also consider the possibility that EJ will remember exactly who’s responsible and choose not to expose the culprit.

There’s been some online speculation that Rachel Black (last played by Finley Rose Slater) might’ve been behind the shooting, so EJ would have a motive to protect his niece if she wasn’t sleeping upstairs after all.

Protecting Johnny could remain an option as well, so EJ might enjoy the opportunity to take down a foe to keep his family out of trouble.

It’d be easy for EJ to pick an enemy like Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez), Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), or anyone else on the suspect list, so he might hurl some false accusations following his coma awakening.

EJ may wake up with a shocking story to tell along with some predictions about who’s headed to prison, but will he tell the truth?
