Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Philip Kiriakis’ Big Scheme – Heroic Aspirations Or A Recipe For Disaster?
Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates reveal Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) reconnects with his old friend, Kevin Lambert (Chadwick Hopson), to discuss stealing the sepsis medication, Versix, from University Hospital.
What are Philip’s intentions for this life-saving serum; will he auction it off to the highest bidder, or will he use the vials to save his older brother Bo Brady (Peter Reckell)?
Will Philip Be A Hero Or A Zero, And Who Is Kevin?
Let’s dive into Philip’s ambitions for the Versix-will he manage to show the Kiriakis family that he’s more than just a jerk, and rise to the occasion as a hero? You might remember Kevin Lambert, the science whiz from Salem High, who made an appearance in Peacock’s Last Blast reunion a few years ago.
Although the character has been portrayed by different actors, he remains the same awkward guy trying to blend in with the popular crowd from Days.
Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) and Kevin devised a prank that left Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) feeling humiliated. Now, Kevin is back and ready to plot alongside Philip.
Philip Has Both Family And Business Drama
Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) has betrayed Philip by exposing his forgery of the letter from Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston). Now, his brother Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) is frantically searching for ways to dispose of him at Titan Industries.
Meanwhile, Philip is doing everything he can to save his position. To make matters worse, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) despises him, Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) is irate, and Belle Black (Martha Madison) is looking for revenge. Philip is certainly going through a rough patch.
The Desperate Plan To Save Bo Brady From Deadly Sepsis
At the moment, he remains unaware that his older brother Bo is battling a severe sepsis infection while in a coma at a hospital in Europe. Recently, Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans), Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols), and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) devised a plan to steal the Versix drug from Dr. Jeffrey Russell’s (Michael Dietz) laboratory.
This experimental medication might be Bo’s only chance for survival, and time is of the essence.
We were confident that Kayla’s scheme would go off without a hitch. She even sent Dr. Russell to a conference out of town and gave his staff the weekend off to ensure that Steve and Shawn could break in and retrieve the drug without anyone noticing.
The Versix Was Gone!
However, this week, everything fell apart when Steve and Shawn arrived at the lab only to find the shelves bare—there was nothing in the cupboard. Shades of the missing orchid needed to save Kayla, Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) and Kate Brady’s (Lauren Koslow) lives-the crucial medicine they needed to save Bo had vanished! Later this week, Kayla’s gang of aspiring criminals will convene to talk about the disappearance of the Versix.
While we are aware that it is gone, they remain oblivious because Philip persuaded Kevin to pilfer the experimental drug. Instead of just taking a single vial as Kayla instructed, Philip had Kevin empty the entire supply, and now, there’s nothing left.
Why Did Philip Steal It?
Dr. Russell will be very angry when he learns it’ missing, and Kayla is likely to be blamed. This all began because Philip, aware that his time with Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) is limited, started questioning why his brother wants to purchase the hospital, which is a financial burden.
When Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) wouldn’t share any information, Philip sneaked into Xander’s office to search through his files and discovered a binder.
He then made a call to someone Xander has been in contact with, lied, and found out the real reason behind his brother’s actions. Philip realizes that Xander knows there is a lot of money to be made with Versix, which is why he wants to buy the hospital.
Sarah Will Confront Xander
This week, Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) will challenge Xander, and we will find out if he reveals the truth about Russell’s research being the real reason for his interest in the struggling hospital.
It seems Philip is once again trying to undermine Xander, but in doing so, he may also be harming Bo. If you’re curious about Philip’s plans for the medicine, it’s unclear.
Ideally, he would realize that Bo’s condition is worsening and that this drug could save him, even though Philip and Bo have had their differences. Still, Philip wouldn’t want Bo to die-he’s been a coma for two years and dies without the medicine.
Panic Time, Will Philip And Kevin Do The Right Thing?
Everything feels bleak-if Philip chooses to sell the medication illegally, it could lead to Bo’s death, and this week’s promo warns that Philip’s greed might endanger his brother’s life.
However, there is still a chance for Kevin and Philip to make the right choice. Spoilers suggest that Kevin and Philip will panic after committing the crime, fearing they might face consequences.
By then, Philip might realize Bo’s life is at stake. He will have the necessary drug to save Bo, but he might discover too late that it is what Bo truly needs.
Philip Could Mail The Drug Anonymously
Furthermore, once he realizes the situation, he cannot simply say, ‘My mistake,’ and return the drug to Kayla or the lab without putting himself and Kevin in jeopardy for the theft.
Thus, Philip might consider giving it to his nephew Shawn, trusting that Shawn will not betray him for taking the medication from the hospital lab.
Alternatively, Philip could anonymously mail a vial of the drug to Steve, Shawn, or Kayla. Regardless, this week on Days is sure to be thrilling-Philip persuades Kevin to assist in stealing the Versix.
But will Philip be viewed as a hero who saved Bo, or as someone who neglected to save his brother, thus being seen as a villain?
