Big Revealrs! How Paulina Made Things Worse on Days of our Lives!

Paulina thinks she’s the best mother on Days of our Lives, and, earlier this month, she made yet another stab at proving it by going to Xander’s and trying to convince him not to sue Chanel over Sarah’s near-fatal allergic reaction.

Paulina insisted it was a silly accident. After all, the vegan scones and the non-vegan scones look so much alike! Anyone could have mixed them up!

It’s not like they’re labeled. Um, maybe, for the benefit of not only those with allergies to pistachio flour, but those who want the vegan treat they ordered, maybe they, you know, should be?

That’s kind of a major problem. That sweet, innocent Chanel made. Maybe she should face the consequences? Just once?

Mama is Going To See To It

This isn’t the first time Paulina (Jackée Harry) has gone charging in, determined to make her precious baby girl’s life as untroubled as possible. It isn’t even the first time we’ve heard of it.

Remember how she covered up a murder Chanel (Raven Bowens) committed? Remember how that came back to bite Chanel? And it also involved tainted baked goods? Which means it came back to bite the whole town?

Glow Word

Remember when an irradiated Paulina stole a snow plow and went looking for her daughter in a storm? Remember how she ended up giving her pregnant daughter radiation poisoning? Chanel lost that baby.

And now Paulina wants to keep Xander (Paul Telfer) from suing Chanel over Sarah’s (Linsey Godfrey) illness. Enough, Paulina. Stop. You’re only making matters worse.

Consequences

Paulina appealed to Xander to have mercy on Chanel because she’s been through so much lately. There was her miscarriage. There was losing the chance to adopt Sophia (Rachel Boyd) and Tate’s (Leo Howard) baby thanks to Johnny’s (Carson Boatman) flip-flopping.

Why Paulina Price Continues To be the Worst Boss On Days of our Lives

Chanel is devastated, and that’s why she almost killed Xander’s wife. So no harm, no foul, right? It’s not like Sarah is dead. Get over it, foreign man!

Mother’s Motive

But maybe, just maybe, it’s Paulina always swooping in to make Chanel happy at all times that is precisely what is making her daughter unhappy now? Chanel completely falls apart as soon as the world doesn’t spin her way. And that’s because of Paulina.

Paulina has convinced her daughter that she doesn’t deserve to suffer, that if anything goes wrong, no matter how big or how small, her Mommy will take care of it. Chanel has no coping tools for disappointment. She has no grit.

Maybe, if Paulina really wants to assist her daughter, she should back off. She should stop trying to fix Chanel’s life. Only then will her baby girl learn to deal. And to grow up.
