‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Was EJ Right About Nicole And Eric – Is There Really “Trouble In Paradise?
‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers suggest that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) may be right about Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) and Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughn) so-called wedded bliss.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Eric Arrives Back In Salem Without Nicole
Eric arrived back in Salem recently without Nicole and little Jude Brady (Oliver McLarty). He made his way back to Salem to see John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and support Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).

Fans know that Eric, Nicole, and their son have been living in Paris after the big baby switch reveal and were expected to live “happily ever after.”
When EJ and Eric ran into each other at Horton Square, EJ asked if his better half and little boy had come with him, and Eric chose not to respond to him. Obviously, Nicole and Jude didn’t make this trip.
That’s when EJ made an interesting remark, “Ah, odd. Do I sense trouble in paradise?” Eric was clearly agitated and claimed he didn’t “have time for this” and walked off in a huff.
Is there any validity to EJ’s theory? It’s possible that Eric and Nicole have broken up, or they may be experiencing issues. Nicole and Eric are supposed to be soulmates.
It was somewhat peculiar that when Eric spoke to his loved ones, he didn’t even mention Nicole, but that could also have been due to him feeling it wasn’t appropriate to comment on his romantic status while John was in the hospital, fighting for his life.
However, Eric was tickled pink when he showed a video of Jude, and there wasn’t even a hint that something may be wrong in his relationship with Nicole.
It likely wouldn’t make sense for the soap to separate Eric and Nicole. Nicole’s portrayer, Arianne Zucker, left Days due to a significant backstage soap opera.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The Door Was Left Open For Zucker’s Return
The conflict led to Zucker suing the show’s producers. Also included are Corday’s Productions, its executive producer, Ken Corday, and the former executive producer, Albert Alarr, for sexual harassment.
It’s unclear whether Zucker would ever opt to return; however, she did score a first-round legal victory in her case.

The door was left open for Zucker to return, or perhaps another actress will play Nicole in the future.
We have to wonder if the “trouble in paradise” remark EJ made was a hint. Nicole could return to Salem if she and Eric were to end their romance.
Or it could be a case of EJ trying to pester Eric. He is tricking him into giving EJ information about Nicole. EJ and Nicole were once married, and we know a part of EJ will always love her despite his involvement with Belle Black (Martha Madison).
Greg Vaughn is only back for a temporary stint, so we surmise Eric will leave town soon after John’s funeral.

There isn’t much of a reason to split up Eric and Nicole right now. It seems more likely that Eric and Nicole are still enjoying their long-overdue romantic reunion.
However, if Nicole ever does break up with Eric and return to Salem, it’s always possible for her to become entangled with EJ’s world again, especially if his “changed man” act is real.
