The DAYS Moment That Left Ciara—and Viewers—Completely Overwhelmed
The wait is finally over on Days of Our Lives: Bo has emerged from his coma. The poor guy supposedly died from a brain tumor, only to be put on ice by Megan Hathaway. When he was revived and cured, his son, Shawn, shot him defending his mother, Hope, because Bo was under Megan’s control. That put him in a coma for a couple of years, but now that he’s returned to Salem, he’s able to reconnect with his family and friends. This is great news for his daughter Ciara, and Victoria Konefal outlined the impact his return will have on her.
She Never Thought It Would Happen
Soap Opera Digest interviewed Konefal, where she enthused, “There’s so much joy. It’s through the roof. It’s surreal, and I don’t think Ciara ever expected to feel that again.” Ciara was a teenager when Bo (Peter Reckell) was believed to have died, and upon his awakening, even he was shocked at how she’d grown up, and he missed it.
She referred to the whole situation as “overwhelming and very emotional,” and reiterated that Ciara didn’t think Bo would ever come back to them. She also noted that there have been a few times when it looked like Bo would be coming back, but those hopes were always dashed.
It’s a Dream Come True
Bo’s return is something that fans have been waiting for, along with the character’s family and friends. “So for him to finally wake up is a dream come true,” Konefal stated. She further remarked that while nearly everyone assumed he would never wake up, the one person who had faith was Hope (Kristian Alfonso).
She said that Hope had been perceived as having unrealistic expectations and could quite possibly have been described as “delusional.” However, she explained that Hope was definitely not that way, and even believed in the magic power of their love that helped him find his way home. “Everyone is so happy to have him back,” Konefal happily remarked.
