Sarah Horton’s Complicated Relationships with Xander Cook and Rachel Black

Let’s start with Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey). She is estranged from Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) but still loves him deeply. Sarah Horton is also frustrated about the anxiety Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) is dealing with now because her mom is heading off to prison.

Sarah Horton has been saying she regrets ever giving Rachel Black back to Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) when she kidnapped her years ago. At the same time, Xander Cook’s anger has been a deal breaker for Sarah. She and Xander Cook have been on the outs for months. They are legally separated, but that could change very soon, according to our leaker.

I’ve got leaks that relate to Sarah Horton and Kristen DiMera, both together and separately. So, I’m going to go into all of this.

According to our leaker, things change between Xander Cook and Sarah Horton, but it happens in stages, not all at once.

Right now, Sarah Horton has been getting closer to Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). Brady Black is upset about Rachel Black and about Tate Black’s (Leo Howard) adoption drama. According to our leaker, Brady Black is crushing on Sarah Horton. He’s looking for excuses to spend time with her, especially once Kristen DiMera is in Statesville.

Since Rachel Black adores Sarah Horton, that’s a good excuse for Brady Black to spend time with her. Rumor has it Brady Black is going to develop feelings for Sarah. However, Sarah Horton is not ready to move on from Xander Cook—not at all.

Plus, Sarah Horton’s estranged husband, Xander Cook, is putting in the hours and doing the work on his anger management therapy. Marin (AnnaLynne McCord) has been helping him see things, including himself, in a new light.

To that end, Xander Cook wants to be real brothers with Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier). He is going to sign a document naming Philip co-CEO officially. This is despite the forgery that Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) and Philip Kiriakis did, which still bothers Xander Cook and rubs him the wrong way.

Then, of course, we had Philip testing Xander Cook by fake choking. That’s a sign that Philip can see that Xander Cook is really trying. That is important because, according to the leaker, Philip Kiriakis is going to talk to Sarah Horton and let her know that her husband is making big changes in his life.

Philip Kiriakis is going to advocate for Sarah Horton to give Xander Cook another chance. But as I said, this moves forward in stages.

Forgiveness and Second Chances: Xander & Sarah’s Rocky Road

Stage one is Xander Cook forgiving Sarah Horton. Even though Sarah Horton is angry that Xander Cook gave Philip Kiriakis that beatdown, it’s actually Xander Cook’s anger at her that is harder to overcome as a couple.

Xander Cook is just so hurt that Sarah Horton kept Philip Kiriakis’ big forgery secret and lied to him to his face. As Sarah Horton has pointed out, she’s forgiven him far more. And that’s true.

At the same time, I think Xander Cook had higher expectations for Sarah Horton, which isn’t fair or rational. But that’s what Xander Cook is doing.

So this fall, Xander Cook is doing his therapy. He’s getting closer to Philip Kiriakis and is going to soften up. Then, Xander Cook will officially forgive Sarah Horton for keeping Philip Kiriakis’ lie hidden from him. That’s stage one.

But that’s not them reconciling or their marriage immediately healing. If you remember, Xander Cook was so upset that he pushed for the legal separation. He was ready for the custody battle.

Also, from our leaker, we have heard that Philip Kiriakis is going to play a big role in Xander Cook forgiving Sarah Horton and Sarah forgiving Xander. Philip is about to do a lot of legwork.

Of course, while he has a role to play, it’s nice that he is being a good brother. I’m guessing that Xander Cook’s anger management sessions with Marin will give him a better perspective on his marriage and where things went wrong. He’s going to be dealing with Sarah Horton in a better way.
