General Hospital & Days of Our Lives Alum Greg Vaughn Joins Beyond the Gates

Beyond the Gates spoilers note that Days of Our Lives (DOOL) and General Hospital (GH) alum, Greg Vaughn, will soon be joining the drama at Fairmont Crest.

As per Soap Opera Digest (SOD), the actor will be appearing on the show sometime during Season 2.

With that said, no official first air date has been announced, and the character Vaughan will be playing has not been mentioned, either.

BTG fans may recall that Michele Van Jean, the new CBS soap’s head writer, creator, and showrunner, did tease a male soap vet joining the show during a TV Insider interview last month.

She said viewers would be surprised by the addition, and she wasn’t kidding! Vaughan and Val Jean worked together during his run as Lucky Spencer on GH from 2003 to 2009.

Vaughan is also known for his time on DOOL as the most recent Eric Brady recast, a role he entered in 2012.

While Vaughan left the show in 2024 when his character moved to Paris with the love of his life, Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) and their son, Jude Brady (Oliver McLarty), Eric has been seen here and there, in Salem, as he’s returned multiple times.

Vaughan was also on The Young and the Restless (Y&R) from 2002 to 2003 when he played Diego Guittierez.

Vaughan was not only a fan favorite on both Days and GH, but he’s also a Daytime Emmy winner, snagging the Outstanding Supporting Actor award in 2018, for his work on DOOL.

This latest casting news is one of many, as BTG continues on its historical journey in the land of daytime drama.

Actor Alex Cheeks recently joined the show playing the son of Doug McBride (Jason Graham) and Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli).

In addition, BTG viewers are anxiously anticipating the debut of Izaiah Hawthorne, Jacob Hawthorne’s (Jibre Hordges) brother, as actor David Liam Friebe is slated to step into the role!

Beyond the Gates spoilers suggest that while the temperatures drop in the fall and winter seasons, the drama will heat up in Fairmont Crest, as the Dupree family and others welcome a major daytime player into their fold.
