Now that the truth is (mostly) out there, the hunt for Sloan is on! Luckily, Days of Our Lives may have sent her off running without a word, but that isn’t quite the end of her tale.

On the phone at home, Sloan gapes while on the phone

After being forced to confess the truth to Eric and hand over baby Jude on Monday, Sloan did exactly what Eric told her not to do and packed up to flee town. And that, it sounds like, was going to be that.

But it’s not quite over yet as Sloan’s returning to Salem on Friday, May 31 for one, last, epic showdown with Nicole. We know that it’s coming from previews and spoilers, but what folks may not realize is that it will be the first episode headwriter Ron Carlivati will have penned since the Writers’ Strike material started airing.

But that was not the plan! When Carlivati spoke with TVInsider about what to expect when his writing team took the reigns back on Friday, he noted that unfortunately, the baby reveal had already begun to come out before they got back.

“I didn’t get to play all of it, but the part with Eric finding out he’s the dad, at least I got to do,” he revealed. And what’s more, he penned the big moment folks have been waiting for since Sloan swiped Eric and Nicole’s kid. “I got to play a Sloan/Nicole confrontation, which for some reason they had Sloan exit the canvas without ever having a confrontation with Nicole, which I thought was nuts.”

Indeed, that does sound like a disappointment, but luckily, Carlivati and team came back just in time to make sure it didn’t go down that way! So while it sounds like Sloan will likely still be exiting the canvas, she won’t be disappearing without a trace — especially once Eric catches her trying to flee on Monday!

What do you think? Do you want Sloan thrown into prison or should she get away?
