On his State of Mind podcast, Benard welcomed Adam Huss (who plays Nikolas Cassadine) to discuss Sonny and GH. Both actors had interesting insights into Sonny’s bold behavior.
Benard pointed out that Sonny rarely does his own dirty work, typically leaving it to his henchmen. But this time, he took matters into his own hands by shooting Jagger.
Adam Huss commented that Sonny’s actions were bold, to which Benard agreed.
In fact, Sonny recalled that shooting Agent Cates was unusually daring—normally Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) or someone else would handle it.
Benard even reflected on the last time Sonny personally shot someone: Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) biological father, A.J. Quartermaine. That moment was a wild turning point.
