First Joshua Morrow’s Son, Now Steve Burton’s: The Next Generation of Stars Has Arrived
It must be something in the genes. First Young & Restless leading man Joshua Morrow’s son Crew followed Dad into daytime, taking on the role of Bold & Beautiful legacy character Will. Now General Hospital star Steve Burton’s son Jack is working the comedy-club circuit with his pop.
On October 23, the Emmy winner shared photos and video clips from his middle child’s debut in Nashville. “What a huge blessing this kid is,” said Burton. “These last two shows I had, my son Jack opened for me. He’s never been on stage. Ever.
“He did five minutes, which I’m sure seemed like forever,” he added. “The biggest fear is public speaking for most, and on top of it, to get up and try to tell a joke or two.” Scared-face emoji. “It might be one of the toughest things to do.”

Needless to say, Burton was left one proud papa. “I just want to say how incredibly brave that is. I never would’ve done it at his age,” he said with a laugh. “I was ditching high school drama because I was afraid to do my monologue in front of people.”
Jack, on the other hand, dove in headfirst. “He was bold and went for it and did an amazing job,” Burton exclaimed. “I’m so proud of him.”
Could daytime be in Jack’s future? TBD. But if Crew Morrow is any indication, it can work gangbusters. He’s killing it over on Bold & Beautiful. If you didn’t see Will’s meet-cute with love interest Ivy in the October 23 episode (recapped here), it’s worth watching on Amazon Prime.
Crew isn’t the first next-gen soap star, either. All My Children legend Susan Lucci’s daughter Liza Huber played Gwen on Passions for years. And back in the day, Young & Restless icon Jeanne Cooper’s son Corbin Bernsen got his start playing Ken Graham on Ryan’s Hope before L.A. Law made him a household name.
