A Heartfelt Tribute

In an emotional statement, Rogers shared:
“This honor is truly special to me. It represents not only my journey in entertainment but also my strong connection to this remarkable community. Palm Springs has been my adopted home for many years.”

Born in Melbourne, Australia, Rogers rose to fame in 1980 when he joined General Hospital as the beloved Robert Scorpio—a role that made him a soap opera icon. Over the decades, he has also appeared on The Young and the Restless (as Colin Atkinson), GH: Night Shift, and streaming soaps like Studio City and The Bay.

Beyond daytime, Rogers has graced hit TV series like HomicideThe Love BoatHotel, and Walker, Texas Ranger, along with lending his voice to animated projects, including Disney’s The Rescuers Down Under.

A Family Affair

Rogers was joined by his wife, Teresa, son Kale, and daughter Sarah, as well as former GH co-star Judith Chapman (Gloria), who gave a touching speech in his honor. Palm Springs Mayor Jeffrey Bernstein and Chamber of Commerce CEO Nona Watson were also on hand to celebrate the milestone.

A Career That Spans Generations

From spy hero to soap veteran, Rogers’ impact on television is undeniable. As his star now shines permanently in Palm Springs, fans can look back on four decades of unforgettable performances—and hopefully many more to come!
