General Hospital Monday, April 21 Recap: Sonny Betrays Natalia – Carly Grills Jason

General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, April 21, reveals that Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) betrayal enraged Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) while Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) grilled Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) about secret-keeping.

Outside GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) helped Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) get out of the dumpster she tumbled in while taking out the trash.

That led to another round of conflict between them and Emma’s questions about how Joss jumped ahead of others on the waitlist for Professor Henry Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) class.

Josslyn played dumb about how it happened, but she assured Emma that she intended to give it her all now that she was part of the course.

General Hospital Recap, April 21: Natalia's deception leaves Sonny in danger

At the Quartermaine mansion, Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) confirmed to Jason that she accepted Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) money to help the Deception gang and support herself.

Since Sasha didn’t want anyone to know about the deal she struck with Sidwell, Jason viewed that as proof that she knew it wasn’t OK.

At Deception, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) were concerned about Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) investigating and possibly arresting Sidwell, which could lead to his assets being frozen and their zincite supply being cut off.

Anna thought Brook Lynn and Maxie should stick with their Sidwell agreement – though she still wanted them to stay on guard.

Once Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) appeared with info on Natalia being Sidwell’s ex-wife, Maxie and Brook Lynn admitted Jason already brought them in the loop.

Meanwhile, Natalia was still at Wyndemere when Sidwell pumped her for information about Sonny’s upcoming heart surgery.

However, Natalia didn’t know much more and ultimately left to handle all the backlash at Deception.

At GH, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) agreed to hear Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) out, so Marco explained how he didn’t grow up around Sidwell and that they got close after Natalia rejected him for being gay in high school.

Although Sidwell urged Marco to move to Port Charles, Marco insisted he didn’t know about Lucas’ link to PC when they met in Miami. Lucas quizzed Marco about Sidwell’s criminal reputation and reflected on his own history with Julian Jerome (William deVry).

Elsewhere, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) stood by her decision to end her romance with Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) since Sidwell would be watching her closely. Despite Isaiah’s prediction about Jordan probably not being able to take Sidwell down, her mind was made up.

Afterward, Jordan gave Anna updates on all the latest developments and got a warning about how dangerous Sidwell was.

At the law office, Sidwell made a pitch for Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to hire Marco since he was the best fit for the job. Alexis has questions about whether Sidwell pushed Marco to work there because Sonny was their client.

Sidwell denied that – though he said he did urge Marco to move to Port Charles so he could be closer to his son.

After Sidwell confessed that he used to be married to Natalia, he clarified that Allison “Blaze” Rogers (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) wasn’t his daughter.

Although Alexis seemed to buy that Sidwell loved Marco, she made it clear that it wasn’t relevant when it came to the hiring process.

Before Sidwell left, he assured Alexis that Marco hadn’t done anything illegal and sang his son’s praises a bit more.

At Deception again, Lucy spoke with Maxie and Brook Lynn about their options.

It was decided that they couldn’t cut ties with Sidwell, but they had to figure out what they would do about Natalia.

At Carly’s place, she stood her ground on going with Sonny when he had his surgery in Los Angeles.

Carly suggested a cover story related to Michael’s treatment and felt confident they could sell that no problem.

Once Natalia headed to the Deception office, she downplayed her deception regarding Sidwell and tried to smooth things over.

Sonny eventually showed up at Brook Lynn’s request, so he was present when Maxie announced Natalia’s CFO contract was terminated.

When Sonny refused to stick up for Natalia, she considered it a betrayal and stomped off over her firing.

Later, Natalia met up with Marco to complain about Sonny’s actions along with Sidwell’s now that her life in PC had been derailed.

Once Carly summoned Jason to her house, she confronted him about being left out of the loop on Sonny’s heart condition until now.

Carly worried it was because of all the lack of trust regarding Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) and her relationship with him.

However, Jason argued that Sonny wanted Carly in the dark.

Plus, Jason essentially didn’t want to drag Carly back into Sonny’s drama and make her feel she had an obligation to be there for her ex.

Carly made it clear that she’d always support Sonny and revealed that she was going to LA with him for his procedure, so Jason approved.

Talk turned to Natalia and how much she might’ve told Sidwell about Sonny’s condition, so Jason said they had to assume she’d spilled everything.

General Hospital spoilers say Sonny’s LA trip will lead to some disturbing news, so stay tuned!
