The aftermath of Sonny beating Dex has been affecting everyone on General Hospital, and on the May 30, 2024 episode, someone’s 15-year-old lie may be slightly to blame for Kristina’s reaction.
An Accident
Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) asked Kristina (Kate Mansi, who has a surprising connection to new GH star Lane Davies) to meet at Bobbie’s to check on her after she witnessed Sonny (Maurice Benard) beat Dex (Evan Hofer). Kristina recalled what the scene looked like, and when Dante assured her Dex is okay, she told her brother she isn’t after seeing their father in that state.
“You’ve seen him like that before, haven’t you? When he shot you,” Kristina realized. When Dante agreed, saying Sonny was much more emotionless when he shot him, Kristina continued. “Except it wasn’t on purpose. It was an accident, right?” That was when Dante revealed he had lied.
A Lie
Dante remembered the way he fell in love with them all when he first started working for Sonny back in 2009. “Michael, The Fixer. Morgan, The Wise-ass. And you, The Princess,” he said. “It’s like we were a family before we knew we were… and I wasn’t going to take him away from you.”
Dante also remembered how hard it was to grow up without a father, so when the time came to press charges against Sonny for shooting him after learning he was his father, he admitted he didn’t turn Sonny in for his kids, including himself.
