The Curious Case of Natalia Grace premiered on Investigation Discovery before the end of May. A six-year-old Ukrainian orphan with dwarfism who was abandoned by her adoptive parents was the subject of the doku-series.
Natalia Grace, according to Christine and Michael Barnett, was a 22-year-old con artist and sociopath in Michael’s words and not at all a child. Natalia and her supporters maintained that the Barnetts lied about Natalya’s aggressive behavior and that she was a child when she was adopted.
The story of Natalya received mixed reviews from viewers, but Roloff made it clear in an Instagram post from June 3 that he is completely on her side. The TLC performer wrote, “I was very touched by the story on Natalia Grace. Google it for those who don’t know.
She also possesses a rare dwarfism similar to mine, diastrophic dysplasia variant.” Matt also sent a link to a GoFundMe where Natalia and her new family may donate money in order to purchase a wheelchair accessible van for ten thousand dollars. “Let’s help them get the new van and send them on a fun vacation,” he continued.
Many of Matt’s supporters applauded him for standing up for Natalya. One individual said, “I appreciate everything your family does as advocates for disabled children who can’t advocate for themselves.
I think one of the kids is Natalia. Those who were supposed to be her supporters repeatedly let her down.”
Because of a gag order connected to a criminal case against the Barnetts, Natalia was unable to speak out until recently about her interactions with them. She can now tell her side of the tale since the gag order has been removed.
In The Curious Case of Natalia Grace, Natalia speaks; she’ll do just that. Later this summer, ID will air it. “I want to reveal the truth to the public because I didn’t have the opportunity,” Natalia explains in the documentary’s first look teaser via YouTube.
“The things that Michael said that I’ve done is a lie,” she continues. Along with that, she claims that Christine was trying to make me seem like I was just this big crazy person.
