LPBW's Zach and Tori Roloff Feel 'Nervous' About Daughter's Surgery

In this heartwarming episode, Tori shared that their precious Lilah, who is only 4 years old, needs surgery for her severe sleep apnea. This is no ordinary surgery. Lilah will have her tonsils and adenoids removed.

“So, we found out that Lilah needs to have her tonsils and adenoids removed. It’s going to be fun,” Tori begins, trying to keep the mood light despite the seriousness of the situation. “So, she’ll have it done at the end of the month,” Zach adds. “Can you imagine how they feel? Let me know in the comments if you’ve ever had to deal with something like this.”

Tori goes on to explain that while tonsil and adenoid removal is commonplace for many people, it is particularly risky for people with dwarfism. “All three of their children suffer from sleep apnea, but Lilah case is the most severe,” Jackson’s is very mild,” says Zach, referring to their eldest son. “That’s the truth. He’s never needed it, or at least not yet,” Tori explains. “But Lilah has severe sleep apnea, and so they’re going to take out her tonsils and adenoids, which I’m a little worried about,” Zach adds. “Her waking up from the anesthesia is going to be tough.”

Although she surprised us with her sleep study. They didn’t do anything during her sleep study,” Tori also shared her fears about anesthesia, especially after Jackson had been through a rough time. “I’ve never done it, so I don’t even know what it’s like, but I’ve heard it’s disorienting,” she said. “So, I’m a little worried because, you know, Jackson woke up horrible both times, and it wasn’t until we got home that he was finally able to relax and sit and calm down.”

“As for Lilah, they want to keep her overnight, and that makes me a little nervous because I feel like you just want to go home. You don’t want to stay in the hospital,” Zach adds, echoing Tori’s sentiments.

On the last episode of Little People Big World, the couple revealed that Lilah was diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea. According to the Cleveland Clinic, sleep apnea is a disorder that causes breathing to stop during sleep. “Lilahtest results came back, and she has moderate sleep apnea,” Zach said in the confessional. Tori added, “She’ll probably need to have her tonsils removed, and after that, the apnea will go away.”

We all hope for the best for Lilah and the entire Roloff family. And that’s it for today’s video.
