Here’s what I mean: we all know Brooke has always had a strangely sharp intuition, and right now, it’s in overdrive. Recently, she’s been keeping an eye on Taylor, but it’s not about Ridge this time.

Brooke senses something deeper, something Taylor is hiding. Oddly enough, Taylor should be in a good place — she’s with her family, and things seem like they should be going well.

But instead, Taylor is acting like her world is falling apart, and Brooke has noticed a dark cloud hanging over her.

While everyone might expect the usual Brooke-Taylor-Ridge love triangle, imagine if this time things are different. What if Brooke, instead of fighting for Ridge, makes a selfless move?

Suppose Taylor’s dealing with something major, like heart failure, and may not have much time left. What if Brooke, out of compassion, steps aside and encourages Ridge to be with Taylor in her final days?

Imagine the strain this would put on Brooke and Taylor’s recently mended friendship. Brooke’s sacrifice would be awkward if Taylor ends up living, and Ridge could find himself stuck between them, wondering if he should stay with Taylor out of obligation or follow his heart back to Brooke.

And Brooke, known for her strong will, might soon regret her noble gesture, especially if Taylor’s survival shifts the balance.

Brooke might not just sit back and let someone else have her “happily ever after” with Ridge. She could very well come back, ready to reclaim the love she gave up.
