The Young and the Restless Recap: Cole’s Mystery Illness – Claire’s Alarming Audra Discovery

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Thursday, April 24, reveals that Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) will have a mystery illness – and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will make an alarming Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) discovery.

At the GCAC, Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) will announce that the Abbott mansion renovations are complete, so she’ll tell Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) that they can all move back in this afternoon.

Jack will worry about the outcome since the Abbott house has always been such a source of comfort.

The fear of the unknown will leave Jack concerned, but Diane will make more predictions about his positive reaction.

Kyle will give Jack a pep talk while Diane’s putting the finishing touches on the place before the big reveal.

Jack will just want to get this over with, but Diane will hold out hope that everyone will be pleased.

At the Newman ranch, Audra will meet with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and agree to sign the contract as long as everything checks out with her lawyer.

When it comes to the details of Audra’s plan to break up Kyle and Claire, Victor will basically trust that she can handle it.

Audra will assume Victor wants plausible deniability in the aftermath.

Once Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) arrives and finds this meeting in progress, she’ll immediately grow suspicious and start asking questions.

After Audra takes off, Victor will act like everything’s above board and that he just intends to utilize Audra’s skillset at a new company.

Nikki will remain on edge, but Victor will keep trying to get her to drop it.

At the tack house, Cole will return from visiting multiple countries since he’s been checking out all the Newman publishing branches.

Once Cole reunites with Claire and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), he’ll give them some sweet gifts from his travels.

Afterward, Cole will head to the main house, where he’ll give Victor updates on his trip.

Victor will also mention Claire getting closer to Kyle and warn that she’s going to get her heart broken, which will shatter Cole’s heart, too.

Meanwhile, Nikki will give Victoria and Claire the news about Victor’s meeting with Audra.

Claire will realize it’s not a leap to think Victor plans to use Audra against Kyle and Jabot.

Later, Claire will sit down with Victoria and Cole for lunch, so she’ll let them know she’s moving in with Kyle and that they love each other.

Cole and Victoria will seem a little uneasy, but they’ll voice their support unlike Victor.

At one point, Cole will have a major coughing fit, but he’ll act like he probably just has allergies or something he picked up while traveling.

Despite Cole’s attempt to downplay things, it’ll feel like the show’s kicking off a storyline about his serious illness.

At Crimson Lights, Audra will bump into Kyle and gloat about the cosmetics company she’s going to be running.

Kyle won’t think Audra can truly compete with Jabot, but she’ll argue that she can go up against the old warhorse and that she knows all Kyle’s weaknesses.

Finally, Diane will force Kyle and Jack to close their eyes as they prepare to see the results of the Abbott mansion refurbishment.

Once Diane lets them take a look, Kyle will definitely be wowed over what his mom’s done with the place.

Jack will gape in shock as he takes it all in, so Diane will push him to tell her what he thinks as Thursday’s Y&R episode concludes.

Based on the sentimental music and the fact that Diane kept the spirit of the house intact, there’s a good chance Jack will soon reveal that he absolutely loves it.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Diane and Jack will share some romantic scenes before the week winds down, so stay tuned.
