Phyllis Is Far From Okay
Let’s be honest, Phyllis is definitely not okay; ever since she and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) were taken hostage by Martin Laurent (Christopher Cousins), she became a shadow of her former self.
Additionally, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) firing her from Abbott Communications hasn’t helped her situation. In fact, Phyllis appears to be in a much worse place, and the decision to replace her with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) has only deepened her sorrow.
Fans witnessed Phyllis lose her temper on Monday, May 26, while she was at Crimson Lights with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), trying to extract information about Aristotle Dumas. When Sally and Billy passed by, it triggered Phyllis’s outburst.
Phyllis Got Into It With Sally
She confronted Sally, throwing accusations so low that she suggested Sally secured her position at Abbott Communications due to the ‘good work’ she performs in the bedroom. After becoming frustrated, she stormed out of Crimson Lights, but not before confronting Billy on her way out.
The woman is barely keeping it together, so what will happen when Phyllis encounters Traci? Phyllis and Sharon’s kidnapping is certainly not Traci’s doing, and the Abbott woman even went out of her way to help Martin for the ladies.
Moreover, Phyllis genuinely appreciates Traci, but who doesn’t in GC, right; nevertheless, seeing her again might push Phyllis into an even deeper spiral than she’s already in lately.
Phyllis Could Go Off The Rails And Do Something Awful
She might even act in a terrible way, without fully considering the consequences, due to her mind being clouded by painful memories.
She has no intention of hurting Traci, but if she happens to encounter Sally afterward, that could change everything! Is there a chance she could become aggressive or physical and do something she would later regret?
Might Phyllis see a chance to retaliate against Billy or Sally and potentially engage in illegal actions, and the sight of Traci resurrect the Martin nightmare, pushing her to cross a dangerous line?
Phyllis is unpredictable as it stands; however, as she continues to suppress her trauma from the events with Martin and her kidnapping, she risks falling into an even deeper pit.
