Yellowstone Creator Has New Passion Project

Taylor Sheridan may be known for co-creating Yellowstone, but a new announcement is going to change his focus. Deadline has reported that Sheridan and his Bosque Ranch have optioned a new project.

After “heavy bidding,” Sheridan is going to write and direct this new passion project based on the S.C. Gwynn book Empire Of The Summer Moon: Quanah Parker and the Rise and Fall of the Comanches, the Most Powerful Indian Tribe in American History. In addition, Taylor and Jenny Wood will be producing this project for Bosque Ranch.

S.C. Gwynn is pleased with this result. “I can’t think of anyone better qualified to bring Empire of the Summer Moon to the screen than Taylor Sheridan.

He has a deep and nuanced understanding of both the myth and the reality of the Old West. I am thrilled that he is undertaking this project.”Will this be a movie or a series? Currently, no other information has been shared.

What Is Empire Of The Summer Moon About?

What is this book about? The description is, “The book is an exhaustive historical account of the four-decade struggle between the Comanche tribe and white settlers to control the American West. Quanah was considered its greatest chief.”

What Is Happening With Yellowstone, Lioness?

What Yellowstone and Lioness fans may wonder is what is happening with both of these series. Paramount plans to start production of Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2 sometime this spring.

The final episodes of the hit series are scheduled to premiere in November. However, there is no information on whether or not Kevin Costner will be part of the end. He has been busy with his own passion project Horizon.

As for Lioness, the series that was co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Jill Wagner, there has been no renewal news.

In addition, Sheridan has to film 1923 Season 2, as well as the new Dutton series 2024. That is allegedly going to star Matthew McConaughey.

However, there are some rumblings in Hollywood that there are salary disputes. But, there has been nothing official announced about McConaughey.
