Yellowstone 6666 Trailer – First Look – New Cast!

After three years since Taylor Sheridan announced expanding the Yellowstone franchise to Texas with a show set on the 6666 Ranch, fans are finally getting updates.

Though other Yellowstone spin-offs have aired, 6666, the first announced, is only now moving closer to release.

The historic 6666 Ranch in Guthrie, Texas, was founded in 1870 by Captain Samuel Burke Burnett. Starting with 100 cattle, it became one of Texas’s largest and most successful ranches, covering over 275,000 acres.

It’s renowned for breeding American Quarter Horses, valued for their speed, athleticism, and temperament. Sheridan, a genuine cowboy, is captivated by this ranch, the birthplace of cowboying.

Sheridan has a profound connection to the ranch, valuing its history and cultural significance. He even acquired the ranch from the last Burnett family member.

Sheridan feels a responsibility to represent Texas authentically, aligning with his care for its heritage, including the 6666 Ranch.

In 2020, Sheridan announced a Paramount Plus series based on the 6666 Ranch. It will explore the lives of those living and working there, focusing on cowboy culture and modern Western challenges.

In production for three years, it’s intended as a Yellowstone sequel, possibly hosting the Dutton family saga. The series will air on cable, unlike other spin-offs, supporting this theory.

Jefferson White will reprise his role as Jimmy, with Katherine Kelly as Emily, the ranch’s vet and his lover. Ryan Bingham’s Walker is expected to appear.

With Yellowstone ending after season five and characters like Rip relocating, we might see Rip, Beth, and other Duttons on the new show. Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser are potential cast members.

Matthew McConaughey is rumored to star in a Yellowstone show, given his Texan roots. He could appear in 6666, perhaps as the ranch owner.

While he demanded a significant fee for a 2024 Yellowstone sequel, 6666 might be a compromise. Sheridan often collaborates with the same actors, so familiar faces from Yellowstone or his other projects might join the 6666 cast.

The plot centers on Jimmy and Emily’s romance and cowboy training. Though details are scarce, Sheridan’s shows are known for complex characters, layered storytelling, and strong settings.
